Shiatsu is a hand-healing method from Japan, effective for relief of stress and pain.  Shiatsudo is based on a 4000 year old medical theory from China and promotes wellness, harmony and self-healing of skeletal, muscular, internal and emotional imbalances.

I offer support and acknowledgement of your inner drive to recover by facilitating the balancing of the generative force present in the body through focus, touch and gentle pressure points on life energy pathways.

Shiatsu means "finger pressure" in Japanese but also includes palms, elbows, knees and feet, as well as gentle manipulative stretches.  Shiatsu's philosophy is that the mind and body are seen as one --our life force energy.  When our minds and bodies are released from stress, we can be open, mindful and present in our daily lives.  Shiatsu promotes harmony in breathing, movement and postures.

**Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, including socks.
